Tate to defend UFC bantamweight title against Nunes at UFC 200 in July
UFCbantamweight champion Miesha Tate will make her first title defense against Amanda Nunes atUFC200 on 9 July.
The mixed martial arts promotion added the matchup to its milestone show Wednesday night.
Tate (18-5) claimed the womens 135lb belt with a dramatic fifth-round submission of Holly Holm atUFC196 last month. Tate has won five consecutive fights since her second loss to former champion Ronda Rousey in December 2013.
Holm took Rouseys belt last year with a stunning knockout victory. Rousey isnt expected to return to the octagon until late this year.
Nunes (12-4) is a Brazilian contender who has won five of her sixUFCfights, losing only to former title contender Cat Zingano.
UFC200 will be headlined by Nate Diazs rematch with Conor McGregor.
