My name is Rokas. I’m a Lithuanian person that trained Aikido for 14 years, 7 of them running a professional Aikido Dojo until eventually I understood that Aikido does not live up to what it guarantees.

Lead by this realization I made a decision to make a bold step to shut my Aikido Dojo and transfer to Portland, Oregon for six months to begin training MMA at the popular Straight Blast Gym Headquarters under head trainer Matt Thornton.

After 6 months extensive training I had my very first amateur MMA battle after which I returned to Lithuania. During all of this moment I am recording my experience via my YouTube channel called “Martial Arts Journey”.

Now I am slowly establishing up plans to proceed training MMA under top quality guidance and also getting ready for my following MMA fight as I further document and also share my trip and also discoveries.
