Instructions for the Taekwondo Sparring Clinch
Unlike a Muay Thai clinch where you grab an opponent so they can not evade your blows, a Taekwondo sparring clinch is only a blocking technique in order to stop in-close kicks. With a Taekwondo sparring clinch, you can not bring your hands together and hold your opponent.
Instructions
You need to get close to your opponent.
Both of your arms go around the waist of your opponent. However, you do not grab your opponent because you will get a penalty.
Rather, you will be doing a mid-level double arm block in order to prevent your opponent from throwing a kick.
